One certain Saturday was filled with laughter and joy that cannot be fully expressed by friends who haven't seen each other in a long time. It also consisted of waiting in line for fried chicken, choosing whether to watch a movie or not, going in and out of stores without buying anything, and, in relevance to our dear friend Joey's portraits above, posing awkwardly in front cameras in a mall's empty balcony.
I am forever thankful for Joey for being the subject in my photos for the second time--the first can be found in my personal blog (shameless plug)--but also for Shaunna for letting me use her 50mm lens which I have been dying to get since I have become aware of portraiture.
Hopefully, I get to shoot more portraits of other people. I recently just received a 50mm lens as a Christmas gift and I can't wait to use it! If any of you are willing to help me with my love for portraiture by becoming my subject or want to get your portraits taken, hit me up at monica_padillo@yahoo.com. Volunteer tributes are greatly appreciated.
